POTTERY BARN POKER CHIP SET (NPW) - chips & box [2012]

Product: Pottery Barn - Poker Chip Set
Company: NPW
Year: 2012
Launch: Bespoke Item

Description: Designed as a bespoke item for Pottery Barn in the US, this was a complete set of high-quality ceramic poker chips. The design was based on artwork supplied by the customer, but this was adjusted to aid manufacture. The set also came in a custom-made wooden box, with 2 decks of playing cards. I was responsible for turning the original poker chip designs in to a set that could be produced using the same mould - to keep setup cost to a minimum. I was also responsible for specifying the box design & sourcing the cards.
The chip values were then silkscreen printed on to the chips to allow them to be adjusted if necessary - which was lucky as the original denominations were updated.
These were the first show samples of the chips, when tooling had been completed.
Pottery Barn did all of their own photography for this item, during their range photoshoot.
I'm lucky enough to still own a full set of these poker chips, although the cards have been warn a little over the years. I was also able to give a couple to close friends as gifts.
